ITINERARY
Civitavecchia - Montalcino - Bagno Vignoni - Civitavecchia
Day 1)
Montalcino
Montalcino is renowned for its excellent wines, particularly Brunello, but there is much more to enjoy there. Delight yourself in a memorable adventure amidst suggestive hilly landscapes and traditional Tuscan cuisine.
The first surprise of the day will be a visit to the famous Fattoria dei Barbi. In this old winery, we will discover the production process of the finest wine in Tuscany and taste different varieties of a prestigious and secular production.
Next, we will enjoy a meal at a classic restaurant, followed by a sightseeing tour of the village's historic center.
Following our lunch, we will require a walk! We will return to the lovely old town to continue appreciating the medieval architecture before heading to the Fortress of Montalcino for breathtaking views of the beautiful countryside.
At the appropriate moment, we will move to Bagno Vignoni for an aperitif and dinner (not included), and then enjoy some relaxation at the hotel.
Overnight stay in the hotel with breakfast included.
Day 2
Trekking in the Val d'Orcia: Avinionis Balnea and La Via del Grano.
Today we will leisurely explore a one-of-a-kind landscape, taking our time to discover and appreciate each breathtaking view that nature presents to us at a comfortable pace.
From Bagno Vignoni and Vignoni Alto, you proceed to San Quirico d'Orcia. Next, we will hike along the Via del Grano, which passes through the stunning and distinctive hills of the Val d'Orcia. This 3-hour route has a low difficulty height difference. Due to the distance of the route, travelers can complete their trip at their convenience with the help of our private vehicle.
At the end of the walk, return to Civitavecchia.
